Nick Gleed

First of all, Hi there.

I’m Nick, currently working in the Public Sector, and was a web dev guy, but now seem to be into DevOps. This site … err I have no idea. Probably my little slice of the internet to post stuff onto. I’d like to help businesses out with technical advice and see where that gets me.

As for experience you can find me on LinkedIn, but here is my bio on that site.

Primarily a SQL DBA / software designer and manager of IT systems. But currently getting into DevOps, Cloud Architecture, Docker & CI Pipeline.

Firmly believe that the more you learn about IT the more you realise how huge and complicated it all really is. The fun part is using your experiences within IT, from many different fields to solve problems, help my team and ultimately learn something new..

IT Project Manager designing web based applications, Business Objects Universes and other software solutions. Bringing together Prince2, ITIL & a good level of common sense & motivation to get the job done.

SQL Server Database Administrator with hands-on experience using relational databases, including SQL 2000/05/08/12.

Adept in prioritizing and coordinating tasks to ensure assignments are completed in a timely manner.

Creative out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys both working under pressure, but also likes to solve interesting problems creatively and succinctly.

Have managed a number of teams working on varying sized projects, prioritising work packages appropriately and willing to take on additional responsibilities to get the job done.

Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers, enjoy working with others and am a people person.
